You don't have to be big to be good, but you have to be good to be big." MY Records is an independent break out record label designed to make some noise so you (the artist) can get the attention of the big boys. Nothing is impossible, but what is almost impossible is for a major record label to sign a new artist. You must have a track record of chart records, record sales, and a great performance. That is where we come in. We offer our services in record production, record promotion, marketing and media relations. To get into the charts you must have radio air play and media attention. MY Records began operation in July 2005. But the General Manager, Allen Cash, began producing in Nashville in 1972. (He) moved to Nashville in 1974, and co-owned Sounds Incorporated, a 24 track recording studio. In 1980 he sold the label to Harold Shedd who was producing Alabama and others. "I started a record company in 1980 called Deep South Records and in the next six years we charted several national records in billboard, Cashbox, Recordworld, etc. I then went into music business consulting in Monterey County, California until August 1996. I had heart failure and in December 1997, I received a heart transplant from Stanford Medical Center in San Francisco, CA. Tony Bennett and I now have something in common, we both "Left Our Hearts in San Francisco"." states Cash. "I moved back East in 2000 on the Gulf Coast and have been working my way back into Nashville and the music business for five years. (I have been doing this) by going back and forth from the Gulf Coast to Nashville producing several Artists. This is what has prompted me to start my own independent record label, because if an artist cannot find their way to the top they cannot get there." Cash says.
The first single release on My Records is titled "In Love Alone" by Cheree Silcox. Cheree makes her home in Nashville, TN after moving from Pensacola, FL and graduating from The University of Alabama in 2000. She then began performing on the Gulf Coast in the last five years.
